One Movement, Two Essential Pillars

The Cocendo movement makes community impact effortless. When someone shops with a participating local business or online merchant, a portion of that transaction helps fund grocery support for post‑secondary students facing food insecurity.

Cocendo is a technology and engagement platform — not a charity. All charitable funds are received, held, and governed exclusively by the Gordon L. Diewert Foundation, an independently governed Canadian charity (BN: 88446 1328 RR0001). This ensures full transparency, CRA compliance, and trusted stewardship of every donated dollar.

How It Works

Step 1: You shop with a Cocendo‑partnered merchant — online or in your community.

Step 2: The merchant contributes a transparent $1.50 per eligible transaction:
• $1.00 funds student grocery support through the Diewert Foundation
• $0.50 sustains Cocendo’s technology, merchant network, and platform operations

Step 3: The charitable portion flows to the Foundation, which provides students with private digital grocery cards — ensuring choice, privacy, and dignity.

 

Individuals and businesses can also make direct voluntary donations at Diewert.org. . These gifts receive official Canadian tax receipts.

Donation Allocation:
• 90% goes directly to student meals
• 10% supports essential charitable operations — including compliance, accounting, and governance
